JOHN J. CLARK IV

John Clark is a civil trial attorney and Co-Chair of the Litigation Division at Schumann Hanlon Margulies. He represents individuals and businesses in high-stakes disputes, with a practice focused on complex commercial litigation, consumer rights, and  employment matters. Known for his strategic, forthright approach in and out of the courtroom, John guides clients through every phase of litigation, from pre-suit investigations up through trial and appeal.

John is equally at home before judges and juries. He has successfully litigated multi-million-dollar cases and has represented clients in the New Jersey District Court, the Superior Court Law Division, Chancery Division and Appellate Division, and before state and federal administrative tribunals. A wide spectrum of clientele have come to John for his experience, including publicly-traded and private middle-market enterprises, real estate investors and developers, business owners, executives and employees, consumers and stakeholders.

Born and raised in New Jersey and a graduate of the Rutgers University School of Law, John draws upon his personal knowledge and experience to advise his clients and frame presentations to the court. John is also member of the New Jersey Association for Justice and continues to advance the interests of his clients through his work with the Hudson County Bar Association, where he sits on the Civil Practice Committee. In his free time, John volunteers as a USA Lacrosse youth league and pop-warner football coach; on the field he emphasizes the same values of discipline, creativity, and teamwork that he brings to the practice of law.
